About Rocky Nook
Rocky Nook was founded in 2006 in Santa Barbara, California. Since its inception, the primary focus of Rocky Nook’s book publishing program has been photography. Our mission is to develop and publish books that educate and inspire photographers of all levels. Focusing on both the art and the craft of photography, we publish books on photography and imaging that really matter. In short, we offer beautiful, practical books that help readers create better photographs.
Our books are written by photographers who have a substantial amount of experience and deep technical understanding of the subject matter. Although our books cover photographic technology to a large extent, our mission goes well beyond technology, as we promote its use to support creativity, and to improve the quality and efficiency of photographic work.
As of 2016, the company's main office is located in San Rafael, California.
